La Quinta Avenida: The perfect place to visit in the Socca World Cup 2022

As the Socca World Cup approaches, you may be asking yourself what places you should visit first in Quintana Roo. With the intention of making your choice a little bit easier, we want to tell you some good reasons to check out what La Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) has to offer in Playa del Carmen; just minutes away from Cozumel, host of our international cup.

This avenue starts a few meters away from the pier where you can take the ferry to Cozumel and it does not matter what kind of activity you want to do, La Quinta Avenida has enough options to satisfy your needs; restaurants, malls, hotels, clubs, local craft and shows, all along the 3 km of the avenue.

Once you are in La Quinta Avenida, visiting “Parque Fundadores” is a must if you want the perfect photo for your posts on Instagram or any other Social Media profile of yours. At night, there are shows for all ages and “voladores de papantla”, a very representative tradition from the south-east of Mexico.

There are three spectacular malls that you should visit: Paseo del Carmen, Calle Corazón and Quinta Alegría. If you are looking forward to shopping, you can find all your favorite brands there, such as Calvin Klein, Lacoste, ZARA, H&M, Bershka and American Eagle, just to mention some. Besides, you can go to the aquarium of Playa del Carmen located at Quinta Alegría.

Are you looking for a place to eat? You should not worry, La Quinta Avenida has restaurants for all tastes. Mexican food, sea food, coffee, ice cream shops and international franchises. The choice is up to you.

At the end of the avenue you will find the Caribbean Sea, the perfect place to finish your day with a magical sunset.

The Mexican Socca Federation welcomes you to our beautiful country and wish you the best of luck in this Socca World Cup Cozumel 2022. We will see you next April!
